Liberty Church in India.
The Church has supported the Indian Christian Churches for many years and continues to conduct financial, material and mission trips to the country.
Our main program is conducted in the mountains of Kerala in Southern India.

The Church is run by Pastor K.A Jacob in the remote tribal area of the mountains which reach to 8,200 ft. This is a strong Hindu area and much resistance is experienced by the Christians there.
We support Jacob and his three pastors and 4 helpers.

The main ministry is at Marayoor, where they live and from there  they go to the tribal areas. The place  is surrounded by the forest and hills where the tribes live. The only way to reach them is by walking. The forest is a tiger reserve and there is every kind of wild animals that you can find in India exept lion.To reach the tribes they have to walk 4 to 35 kilometers, and from one end to the other is almost 62 kilometers.

The nearest city is Munnar that is in Kerala and Udumalpet
that is in Tamil Nadu, the adjacent state. To reach Udumalpet is 52 k.m. and to reach Munnar is 44 k.m. but this is a very hilly area, where the highest peak in South India is situated. The nearest air port is Kochi.
Jacob also operates 4 daughter churches, 3 at the tribal area and one in Tamil Nadu.

Funds are sent electronicaly to India and support Jacob's ministry team with food, education programs, feeding the poor in the street, elderly programs monthly, Sunday School programs for Children, Vacational Bible School at Easter, womans meetings, bible classes and evangelism activities.

The IVCM are also supported by Liberty Missions. Full details are on their website at www.ivcm.org.au

Three homes currently operate supporting around 120 children & 6 Widows.

Mission trips to India are arranged twice a year to work with the children and Churches.

In Hyderabad the Church supports the Broken Hill Care Home which has two main operational areas. Firstly for orphans; the home is a sanctuary for orphans, semi orphans and the poor.
Rev Parker ,his wife and a team of workers operate the home for about 25 children.

The children receive food, clothing, medicine, accommodation and education. Assistance with infrastructure is also given as the need arises. Future plans by the orphanage are to raise enough funds to build a further 3 residences to house another 50 children. The need is so great.
Secondly Rev Parker also operates the New Life Widows Home for destitute widows.

These widows are supported with food, clothing and Christian services.

A further orphanage is established at Gudivada and is operated by Pastor Samuel Nelapati. It is called the New Life Home of Hope and focusses on orphan children and children from extremely poor families who cannot feed their children. 25 orphans are supported through education, food, clothing, accommodation, and spiritual growth.
